Under the direct supervision of the Dental Manager and in collaboration with the Dental Director, the Dental Assist assists the treating dentist during examination and treatment of patients. The Dental Assistant assume responsibility for initial dental laboratory needs, initiates and maintains diagnostic and treatment records, and performs and/or conducts a variety of routine and non-routine technical procedures. |

Must possess a one year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or have three to six months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |

Muskegon Family Care has an immediate opening for a full-time medical Assistant.
The Medical Assitant gathers past medical history, family history and enters information into the patient medical record, Cleans and sterilizes instruments as needed, Escorts patient to exam room, documents chief complaint, records vital signs and other relevant medical history in patient electronic record, administers medication including injectables, performs routine lab tests and administers treatment as ordered by the provider and documents such in the medical record. The Medical Assistant assures that on site medication is not expired and that expired medication is disposed of appropriately. Completes all other duties as assigned. |
