| Dorothy was born in St. Louis MO, came to Muskegon when she was 3 weeks old and has lived her entire life here. She worked for the State of Michigan as a Parole Agent and retired in 2002. She received her Associate's Degree from Muskegon Community College (MCC) and her bachelors in Criminal Justice from Grand Valley State University. Dorothy has spent her whole life involved in housing, education and healthcare for the underserved. She continues to teach Criminal Justice at MCC as she has for 17 years. She has served on the board of Every Woman's Place (a local emergency shelter) and the Muskegon Corrections Board. Dorothy brings passion, commitment and experience to her board work at MFC. |

| Mr. Jenkins is a self-employed businessman, with a history of working as Director of the local Urban League and as an Appraiser for the City of Muskegon Heights. Although a recent addition to the MFC Board, Mr. Jenkins has extensive experience as a member of other local non-profit boards (Mission for Area People, Urban League, West Michigan Shoreline Regional Development, NAACP Economic Development Committee, Habitat for Humanity, and others). Mr. Jenkins brings a wealth of local connections to his position as a Board Member at MFC. |

| Melba White Newsome, a clinic patient, is an evangelist and also working for the Area Intermediate School District in the Head Start Program. Before moving to this area she was Director of Child and Family Development Services in Mason County. Melba received her Master's Degree in Education from the University of Phoenix, and serves as adjunct faculty at Muskegon Community College. Her passion is ministering to women and young people, and she serves as a great role model in the African-American community. Melba says, "I am honored and blessed to be a part of the Muskegon Family Care Board; they do care about families." |

| Russ Daniel is a community Board member who has been the Senior Vice President of Independent Bank for the past 10 years. He has a B.B.A. from William and Mary College and an MBA from Western Michigan University. He has extensive board experience, with experience on the Catholic Charities Board, the Muskegon Film Festival Board, Habitat for Humanity Board (10 years) and Catholic Social Service Board (6 years). He volunteers as a loaned executive for United Way. Russ, his wife and three children (aged 16,13, and 10) live in Muskegon. His business experience and expertise are great assets to the board. Russ notes that "MFC provides for a critical need in our community. My interest is helping to continue and expand these services." |

| Karen Biggerstaff is Pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Muskegon. Pastor Karen also brings a wealth of healthcare knowledge and experience to her position on the MFC Board, as she is an experienced nurse. |

| Loyal Gedmin has been on the Muskegon Family Care board for several years. Loyal is a patient of Muskegon Family Care and a retired buyer for Allied Stores, Inc. Loyal has had a career in business, but is most valuable to Muskegon Family Care from the patient perspective. Loyal's willingness to speak to the issues has been important to the organization over the years. |

| Wayne LaPointe joined the Muskegon Family Care board in April 2007. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling, Education Specialist in Educational Administration. Mr. LaPointe is currently retired from spending forty years in education (varied positions including K-12 Administration, 7-12 Counseling, Teaching English, P.E., Driver's Education and Coaching / Officiating). Mr. LaPointe is a consumer member of the board, and is a patient at the Oak Avenue Clinic. He is a member of the Holy Rosary Council of the Knights of Columbus and a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Mr. LaPointe and his wife have two adult sons, each with families of their own. He is excited about the opportunity to be a member of the MFC Board; "If I can be part of making a positive difference in providing health care and improved quality of life for anyone, I consider it a privilege. Muskegon Family Care certainly does have a large nucleus of very caring, competent people, and I am proud to be a part of that group." |

| Greg Loomis, Board Secretary and founding board member, is currently Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Mercy General Health Partners. Greg has had experience in healthcare for 28 years, and has been invaluable to Muskegon Family Care in its formative years. Greg's ability to lend hospital support at critical times has been a key factor in the growth and success of the organization. |

| Jeff Melton, Community Board Member for Muskegon Family Care, is a national consultant on parenting education. Jeff has a Master's Degree in Public Administration. He is experienced in substance abuse counseling and has experience as a board member for the Muskegon County Child Abuse Council, Muskegon Heights Economic Development Corporation, Muskegon Heights Business and Education Alliance and Volunteer Muskegon Youth Board. His energy and enthusiasm to address issues of importance to families and the African American community are great assets to Muskegon Family Care. |

| Dr. Peters is a recent welcome addition to the Muskegon Family Care board. His local advocacy for social justice and the poor and underserved is well known. Dr. Peters is a retired physician who also serves as a Trustee for the Community Foundation for Muskegon County. Dr. Peters' support of Muskegon Family Care has included assistance with fundraising for the Getty Street Clinic Building capital campaign, and ongoing support as a valued donor to the organization. Dr. Peters has four children and seven grandchildren. |

| David Ramos serves on the board of Muskegon Family Care as a community board member. He is currently self-employed at Ramos and Sons Body Shop, and also works for the Muskegon County Sheriff's Department. Prior to that, he served several years on both the Muskegon Township and Muskegon Heights Police Departments. He is a graduate of Muskegon High School and is certified through the Police Academy with numerous police training certificates. He has attended Ferris State University, Baker College, Wayne State, and Muskegon Community College where he has earned credit toward Business and Criminal Justice degrees. David is also involved in the community through Big Brother, Big Sister; Child Abuse Council; Muskegon Area Tech; Mercy Health Partners; and Lawmen Motorcycle Club. His interest in community health and serving Muskegon Family Care has developed from working with the public through Law Enforcement, seeing the great need for economically challenged communities. He is currently involved in Strive, Junior Achievement, Rotary Club, Fraternal Order of Police, Community Policing and Men's Fraternity. David is single with two adult children. |
